Did Sri Rama win over Ravana, just because he was far
superior to latter in strength /wisdom or because he had the support of vast Vanara Army or due to the support
extended by Vibhishana or because he was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu or the
all powerful Sri Hanuma stood behind him or something else?
- Sri Rama was not an incarnation of Vishnu, as commonly believed.
- Sri Rama was able to defeat Ravana, due to his adherence to DHARMA.

Whatever reasons one may quote, those are all
secondary, but Why?

Mareecha, who turned into Golden deer for diverting Sri
Rama from hermitage so that Ravana can abduct
Sita, tries to advice Ravana, against abducting Sita, by describing the characteristics of Sri Rama.

"Discarding the kingdom and even royal-comforts Rama
entered Dandaka forest only to fulfil the cherish of Kaikeyi, viz., kingdom for
her son Bharata, and even that of Dasharatha, viz., to remain loyal to his
promise to Kaikeyi”.

"Rama is the embodiment of righteousness, he
is an equable person with truthfulness as his valour, and as with Indra to all
gods he is the king of entire world.”
(Sri Rama's
principles alone make him victorious, as he does not deviate from the path of
righteousness. And by not deviating from the path of righteousness, he is truly
valorous and the question of his defeat does not arise, because he will abide
by his conscience.)

1) Kabandha,
after getting liberation from a curse, gives directions to Sri Rama for reaching
Kishkinda and befriending Sugriva.
2) Sugriva, after getting eliminated Vali
with the help of Sri Rama, sends his vast Army in all directions, in search of Sita and accompanies, along with
his vast army, Sri Rama to Lanka for participating in the war with Demons.
One
may argue that Kabandha and Sugriva might have helped Sri Rama out of gratitude.
3) Vibhishana, helps Sri Rama by disclosing
the secrets of Ravana and Indrajit.
One
may explain that Vibhishana, out of greed for a great kingdom, helped Sri Rama.
#######$$$$$$$$$$$$$%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
However, what about Sri Hanuma, the Ocean God, , the mighty Garuda, who advised,
supported and helped Sri Rama?
- Sri Hanuma himself had Supernatural powers.
- Sri Hanuma could conquer a part of Ravana’s army, singlehandedly, within no time.
- No DIVINE weapon can cause DEATH to him.( अशस्त्र वध्यताम् - ४-६६-२७)
- DEATH will come to him at his WISH only.( स्वच्छंदतः च मरणम् - ४-६६-२९)
- He was well versed in 3 Vedas (न अन् ऋग्वेद विनीतस्य - ४-३-२८)
- Sita herself acknowledges that Sri Hanuma was an accomplisher of any task (त्वम् हि कार्यविदाम् वरः - ५-३९-२७)
- Sita herself acknowledges Sri Hanuma’s immense strength (तव सत्त्वम् बलम् - ५-३७-४०)
Still Sri Hanuma did not expect anything from Sri Rama,
but extended lot of service to the latter, but why?
It is just because of Sri Rama’s adherence to the DHARMA,
and because he himself an adherent to DHARMA.

Why did the Ocean God help Sri Rama, by advising the
latter as to how to cross the great ocean?
The Ocean God
appears before Sri Rama, when the latter about to discharge the great Brahmastra
against the former.
The Ocean God explains that he cannot give way to Sri
Rama and his army, because it is against the NATURE’s LAWS.

beloved Rama! Earth, wind ether, water and light remain fixed in their own
nature, resorting to their eternal path."

"Therefore,
I am fathomless and my nature is that it is impossible of being swum across. It
becomes unnatural if I am shallow. I am telling you the following device to
cross me."
However,
he gives clue for constructing a bridge over him, which he assures that
will not collapse till his army has
crossed it.”

"O,
Rama! I shall make it possible to see that you are able to cross over. I will
arrange a place for the monkeys to cross me and bear with it. As far as the
army crosses me, the crocodiles will not be aggressive to them."
We have to understand the subtlety of the words spoken by
the Ocean God. He says that “I will arrange a place for the monkeys to cross me and
bear with it.”
He was talking not just about their ONWARD journey only,
but also about RETURN journey also. So
the bridge will remain there till the Vanara army completes it RETURN journey
also.
Again here also, the Ocean God helped Sri Rama, because he
adhered to DHARMA, but not because he was afraid of Sri Rama’s Valour.
Sage Valmiki conveying his message that the ALL POWERFUL
NATURE helps the righteous people.

The mighty Garuda arrives in the battlefield and helps
Sri Rama and Lakshmana in getting rid of sorcery of serpants laid by Indrajit.
Again Garuda also helps Sri Rama, because the latter was
adherent to DHARMA.
