After narrating the story, Jambavanta said
as following:
"Presently we are as good as dead, and
among us presently you are the only hope for us.”
"You alone are endowed with all
endowments among us... Thereby oh, vanquisher Hanuma, you give a jump-start to
leap the ocean. Indeed, you alone are the best one among all fly-jumpers, and
this entire vanara army is anxious to witness your prowess..”.
"Arise, oh, lion-like Vanara, leap
over this vast ocean, oh, Hanuma, your escape velocity is indeed unalike that
of all the other beings...”
"Oh, Hanuma, all these Vanaras are
dispirited. Why this indolence of yours? You boldly triumph over the ocean as
your speed is highest,. “
Thus, Jambavanta persuaded Sri Hanuma to
get ready for action.
Sri Hanuma comes forward to leap the ocean
at the repeated encouragement given by Jambavanta. Then he increases his
physique, fit enough to take a leap, and starts declaring his capabilities, by
which the other vanara-s feel jubilant.
Then, Sri Hanuma climbs Mt. Mahendra, by
which whole of that mountain is put to turmoil.
------
Sri Hanuma is a JNANI. He remained in the sidelines as long as his
action is not sought for. When action is
required, he prepared to show his capabilities without a trace of EGO. He wanted to dispel the despair among the
Vanara-s and hence, he grew large and reassured the vanaras.
